THERE ARE 5 QUESTIONS IN THIS PAPER

MATHS SUMMATIVE II - Example of Summative II (12/03/2013). In real exam you won't get same questions. Numbers would change.

The solution provided here would help students learn better.

Marks 80      Time: 2.5 hours

Q 1 Fill in the blanks

a) 698.49 / 100 = 6.9849 (when you divide by 100 the decimal point moves 2 digits left side)

b) 356 x 1000 = 356000

c) 73 kg 211 gm = 73.211 kg

d) What will be the next figure

pattern

The next figure is shown in red.

e) See the pattern 9,18,27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72 (here in this pattern all the numbers are multiple of 9 i.e 9x1 = 9, 9x2 = 18, 9x3 = 27 etc)

f) 6.5 + 3.8 = 3.8 + 6.5 (here 3.8 is common so the remaining number is 6.5, you can check this by actually adding and finding the missing number)

g) Count the tally marks and write the correct answer

Key ¥ - 5 nos

Sr. No. Tally Numbers Total
1 ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥  II 5 x 5 = 25 + 2 = 27
2 ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ ¥ IIII 6 x 5 = 30 + 4 = 34

I MAY NOT BE RIGHT, PLEASE REFER TO THE TEACHER

h) 31764 / 100, Q (Quotient) = 317 and R (Remainder) = 64

j) If 1 km = 1000 mt, then 1mt = 0.001 km

Calculation:

 1 km ==== 1000 mt

?  ======== 1 mt

Cross multiply and we get

? x 1000 = 1 x 1

? = 1/1000 = 0.001 Km

k) If unit of side is cm, then unit of volume = cm(3)
