Division of Decimal Numbers

Decimal Numbers can be divided similar to simple division sums but as we showed before it becomes difficult to solve decimal numbers when dividend has zero's in it.  Secondly in decimal numbers you can keep on adding 0 as last digit.

Write table of 3 from 0 to 9

Second point i want to stress that in decimal numbers

300.051 = 300.0510 = 300.05100 = 300.051000 .............

in other words 2.5 = 2.50 = 2.500 = 2.5000 = 2.50000 ..........

In short you can keep on adding 0's after decimal point and after last digit and value does not change.

 100.01666 3 300.050 - 3-------------------------------3x1 = 3 00-----------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 00-----------------------------3x0 = 0 000---------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 000----------------------------3x0=0 When you come across decimal in dividend then place decimal in quotient 0000---------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 0000---------------------------3x0=0 00005-------------------------bring one digit down ie 5 - 00003---------------------------3x1=3 000020-----------------------bring one digit down ie 0  As mentioned above we can keep on adding 0 as last digit - 000018---------------------------3x6=18 0000020-------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 0000018-------------------------3x6=18 00000020----------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 00000018------------------------3x6 = 18 000000020-------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 000000018------------------------3x6 = 18 0000000020------------------------bring one digit down ie 0 - 0000000018-----------------------3x6 = 18 0000000002

 .7 5 3.5 35 00

In this decimal division 3 in dividend 35 is less then 5 and after 3 there is decimal point so we have to put decimal in quotient in the begining before 7.
