Blue Whale is the Largest Mammal of the World. Some of the features of these whales are as follows:
1) Found in all oceans from equatorial to high latitude north and south seas.
2) Length: Upto 22 meters.
3)Weight: 150 tons.
4) LifeSpan: 70 - 80 years.
5) Blue Whale are largest animal ever lived on earth. It is not fish. It is warm blooded animal that swims in water but takes air (not water) for respiration and gives birth to young ones.
This skeleton of blue whale was found in bay of Khambhat in 1987. It is 22 meters in size. Whales are often found in bay of Khambhat. Because of Sea Pollution many whales die every year. |
